We are proud of all of our students and their work! All entries will be displayed during Open House. They will also all be recognized at a general PTA meeting on February 20th, and we hope you will join us with celebrating them!

Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts recognition program that encourages artistic expression.  The Reflections theme for 2023-2024 is “I am Hopeful Because...”. Students are challenged to use their imagination to create a film, song, artwork, photograph, poem, short story or dance routine. Students can enter as many times as they would like in as many categories as they would like.  

Homestead has a wide array of talented students! We hope to see high participation in the program this year. 

Texas PTA has made Reflections a member benefit. At least one person from the student’s primary household must be a current member of their local PTA no later than October 31st. If you are unsure if you are a member or need financial assistance, please contact Tori Federle at reflections@homestead-pta.org or go to My Account in the header then My Forms and fill out the PTA Form to join now. Memberships are renewed each year beginning in August.

Art Categories Include:

Dance Choreography - Original dance choreographed by the student

Film Production - Original work of fiction or non-fiction in animation, narrative, documentary, experimental, computer-generated, or multimedia

Literature – Original fiction or non-fiction in prose, poetry, drama, reflective essay or short story

Music Composition - Original composition using voice and/or instruments in a cappella, blues, choral, country, hip hop, jazz, Latin, orchestral, pop, R&B, rock or any other style

Visual Arts - Original print, drawing, painting, collage, metal etching, punch work, fiber work, or computer-generated artwork

Photography - Original photograph in black and white or color

The entry deadline is Friday, October 27, 2023 and submission procedures will be announced later, but you can start planning your amazing work now! Please be sure to include the completed entry form with your project when submitted.
