The success of any PTA is dependent upon leaders like you!

Don't know where to start? Here is a handy list to get you going.

You are required to be a PTA member. So, make sure you have filled out your back to school forms and have joined PTA this year.
Work with the outgoing person in your position to obtain anything that can help you with performing your duties.
Develop/update your position's Plan of Work (POW) and submit to president@homestead-pta.org by August 11th
Review the BASICS Boardsmanship Resource Guide and watch the webinar for detailed support and best practices.
Sign the Confidentiality, Ethics and Conflict of Interest Agreement. The Secretary will have this at the board meetings.
Complete all mandatory FOUNDATIONS trainings and submit your notice of completion to the Secretary (secretary@homestead-pta.org). FOUNDATIONS Essentials should be completed only once during your years of service. FOUNDATIONS Basics should be completed each year for the position you are currently in. Please complete the appropriate trainings by August 31st, 2023.
Visit LewisvilleISD.VOLY.org to complete your yearly volunteer application, LISD background check, select the schools where you’d like to volunteer and update your skills. This is required if you would like to volunteer on campus.

Executive Board members need to register themselves through Texas PTA's easy-to-use form here.
